Gèh-ishi Dêtîkè (/ˈfokɘ/ /ˈiʃi/ [hard; solid; compact] [vaccine]) is a subtropical Town located in the Z̄upaguv Zone of the Union of Engineers.

The name Gèh-ishi Dêtîkè is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Gèh-ishi Dêtîkè was founded by Titanic Whip Spiders Trèqtho, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Gèh-ishi Dêtîkè has a yearly average temperature of 24°C (75°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 28°C (82°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 21°C (69°F). Gèh-ishi Dêtîkè receives an average of 103 cm/y (40 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Gèh-ishi Dêtîkè covers an area of nearly 5 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 7004 m (-19970 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Gèh-ishi Dêtîkè was founded durring the early 16th century in spring of the year 1505, by Titanic Whip Spiders Trèqtho. The establishment of Gèh-ishi Dêtîkè was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Gèh-ishi Dêtîkè's construction back out of the project. Titanic Whip Spiders Trèqtho pushed on reguardles, and Gèh-ishi Dêtîkè was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Gèh-ishi Dêtîkè was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the early 16th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Gèh-ishi Dêtîkè is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Gèh-ishi Dêtîkè is buildings are speckled and packed arround broad baked earthen streets with seemingly no patern to them. It appears as if the town's residents simply built streets as they pleased and squeazed buildings in wherever and howeave rpossible, creating an organic, frustrating to navigate, maze of a town. The town sits comfortably behind a palisade wall complete with a timber gatehouse and battlments. Gèh-ishi Dêtîkè's timber-based walls has sufferd soem light damage, reducing its function a little in some spots, but could almsot certainly preform as expected... Though some of the worse spots could lead to the loss of defenders lives if attackers identified the weaknesses ahead of time.

A look around Gèh-ishi Dêtîkè has something terribly wrong with it. It’s impossible to put one’s finger on, but something is horribly wrong. Maybe it’s the way fog blankets the ground, but only in the connors of places. Maybe it’s the vermin scuttling between shadows in the corner of your eyes. Perhaps it’s the overcast sky which seemed to creep out of nowhere, or the distant howling of wolves. Maybe it’s all of those things together, or perhaps it's the way these elements combine with the simple fact that it is abundantly clear Gèh-ishi Dêtîkè suffered something horrible some time ago. It's as if the town itself is depressed. Smiles are few, cheer is nowhere to be had. Everyone quietly goes about their daily business not looking anyone in the eye. Regardless, you do not feel it would be wise to remain in Gèh-ishi Dêtîkè long.

Civic Infrastructure

Gèh-ishi Dêtîkè has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Gèh-ishi Dêtîkè.

Gèh-ishi Dêtîkè has a Gravedigger's Guild, which is responsible for collecting the dead and laying them to rest according to all applicable laws and religious customs.

Gèh-ishi Dêtîkè has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

Gèh-ishi Dêtîkè has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Gèh-ishi Dêtîkè's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Gèh-ishi Dêtîkè has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

Gèh-ishi Dêtîkè has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

Gèh-ishi Dêtîkè's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is admittedly strange and non-linear style rooted in defiance of symmetrical shapes. It championed the creation of buildings with a unique visual appearance. the structural norms of classic buildings and deforms or moves away from elementary architectural principles. By including non-linear designs processed into its buildings and favoring fragmentation, this style expressed a form of controlled chaos. Its buildings appear out-of-the-ordinary, draw the eye in immediately and sometimes create a feeling of strangeness. These distorted shapes and structure are not reserved to the building’s outer facade, they destabilize interior elements too, favoring minimalism and play on people’s perceptions by injecting a futuristic touch.

Due to the actions of local Kami, summer is short in Gèh-ishi Dêtîkè.

The Satyr near Gèh-ishi Dêtîkè are known to be a mutant strain of the creature.

Gèh-ishi Dêtîkè's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in winter and involves long periods of drunkenness to channel Transmutation energies of tier 1 via proclamations.

The locals often repair the road by putting down wooden decking.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century a local hero by the name of saved most of the town when a natural disaster struck Gèh-ishi Dêtîkè. Gèh-ishi Dêtîkè created a local delicacy in 's honor which is served at festivals.
